Has anyone gone to Palermo and seen the Capuchin Catacombs? If so, there is a little girl buried down there named Rosalia Lombardo. I am seeking anyone who might know something about her, her background and the biggie question: "How'd She Get Down There?".
She looks like a large expensive toy doll in a doll box and was buried there in 1920, embalmed to last over 100 years. She looks like asleep. As her anniversary of her death approaches, Dec. 6, 1920, I'd like to know more about her except what the tourists are all told. How did she die? How come she was the last person buried down there?
The Catacombs remind me of Edgar Allen Poe's descriptions of the underground tombs of THE CASK OF AMONTILLADO. Any info would be helpful.
